Members of the SEM Lab gathered to celebrate Teacher's Day and express their heartfelt appreciation to Professor Soomin Woo for his continuous guidance and support. 

Juhyeong Kim of the SEM Lab received the Outstanding Project Award for his research excellence in the Research for Undergraduate Students (RUS) program. Continuing the lab's undergraduate research engagement, Chaewon Yoon and Taerin Kim have been newly selected for the upcoming semester's RUS program.

Jeongsik Yun has been selected as a recipient of the 2026 Master's Excellence Scholarship (Science and Engineering) awarded by the Korea Student Aid Foundation (KOSAF).

The SEM Lab held a joint research workshop with Professor Seongjin Choi from the University of Minnesota and Professor Donghoon Lee from Sejong University. During the workshop, the researchers shared recent findings in transportation systems and AI applications, followed by in-depth discussions on future collaborative research initiatives. 

Jeongsik Yun, Chaewon Yoon, Taerin Kim, and Heetae attended the 23rd World Congress of the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC 2026), held at BEXCO in Busan, South Korea, from August 23rd to 28th, 2026.

During the conference, they attended various technical sessions and explored recent research and advances in optimization, energy management, electric mobility, and intelligent transportation systems.
